DEMOREST, Ga. - The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (0-5, 0-5 USAS) dropped its season finale on the road Sunday, falling by a final of 17-7 to Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. 

Ashton Cashwell and Savannah Colliver each tallied two goals apiece to lead the offensive attack for Brevard, while KC Collins, Autumn Kraemer, and Parker Moore also scored for BC. Kraemer dished out a team-best two assists, while Carlie Henning saved nine Piedmont shot attempts and grabbed seven ground balls. 

Emma Fransen and Aislynn Kimbrel logged seven and five goals respectively to lead the Lions in scoring on the afternoon. 

Piedmont put a pair of goals in the game's first four minutes before Kramer found the back of the net on a free-position shot to cut the Lion lead in half, 2-1. The Lions would go on an 8-0 scoring run to extend their lead to a 10-1 margin before Cashwell scored a goal man-up with 9:23 left in the first half. Colliver put in a free-position shot with 6:28 left as Piedmont carried a 13-3 lead into the intermission. 

Both sides traded four goals apiece through the second stanza, as BC's Moore scored just two minutes into the second half. Colliver and Collins scored back-to-back goals before Cashwell tallied her second score of the contest on a free-position shot, as Piedmont collected the victory 17-7. 

The contest marked the season finale for the Tornados. Kraemer led all Tornados through the 2021 season with 14 goals and two assists for a team-high 16 points, while Moore dished out a team-best four assists. Henning made 53 saves and grabbed 23 ground balls defensively.
