Hawks Take Conference Victory over Tornados in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Brevard College women's lacrosse team (0-4, 0-4 USAS) returned to action on Saturday afternoon, falling 20-5 to Huntingdon College (2-6, 1-4 USAS).

Autumn Kraemer tied her season-high with four goals on nine shot attempts. Parker Moore added a goal and an assist, while Carlie Henning saved five shots in the contest.

Olivia Stinson scored five goals to lead all goal-scorers for Huntingdon, while Shelby Martin added four goals and an assist and Keirstin Cramer tallied three goals and an assist.

Huntingdon scored the first seven goals of the matchup through the first 10 minutes of the contest. Kraemer stalled the scoring run at the 19:15 mark in the first half before the Hawks added eight scores in a row, extending their lead to a 15-1 mark. Kraemer put in a Moore assist with two seconds remaining in the first half, as Huntingdon took a 15-2 advantage into the intermission.

BC scored the first two goals of the second period, as Kraemer and Moore each tallied goals. Huntingdon added four scores before Kraemer put in her fourth goal with 8:36 left in the contest.

The Tornados were 10-of-13 on clear attempts and snagged nine ground balls in the conference matchup while also saving five shots.

Brevard returns to play on Sunday when the Tornados take on Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia at 4 p.m.
