BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Tornados women's lacrosse team (0-1) heads to Cleveland, Georgia to take on the Truett McConnell University Bears (0-1) in non-conference action on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The Tornados are coming off of a tight, 15-12 defeat in their season-opener to Berry College last Saturday. 

Freshman attacker Autumn Kraemer led all Tornados with five goals in her debut as a collegiate women's lacrosse player. Kraemer, a freshman from Stewartstown, Pa., scored five of BC's 12 total goals on 10 shots-on-goal. Returning sophomore midfielder Hannah Scharf added three scores, while senior Micaiah Vacchiano and freshman Savannah Colliver each scored twice. Colliver dished our Brevard's lone assist in the contest. 

Making her first career start in goal, freshman goalkeeper Carlie Henning recorded four total saves. 

Truett McConnell fell by a final of 14-11 in its season-opener to NCAA DIII Oglethorpe University back on February 8. The Bears were led offensively by Holly Foster and Hope Foster, who each racked up four goals in the defeat. 

Brevard will return to action on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. when the Tornados welcome JWU-Denver to Ives-Lemel Family Field at 6 p.m. for BC's home-opening contest. The match will serve as Boys & Girls Club Day for the Tornados.
