Nationally-Ranked Reinhardt Blanks Brevard in Georgia

WALESKA, Ga. - The Reinhardt Eagles (3-1), who are the seventh-ranked NAIA Women's Lacrosse team, defeated the Brevard College Tornados Women's Lacrosse team (3-1) by a final of 20-0 on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles caught fire early, scoring 10 goals in the first 10 minutes of action. 

Reinhardt's offense tallied 15 goals in the first half before cruising to the 20-0 victory. 

Katherine Collins, who faced 29 total shots, kept the Eagles out of goal nine times on the evening. Collins also snagged 12 ground balls, a new career-high.

Hunter Denney and Lauren Ward each tallied two ground balls. 

Reinhardt was led by Catherine Copenhaver, who scored five times. 

The Tornados open up the month of March with three-straight home matches. Brevard opens this stretch against Davis & Elkins on Tuesday, March 5 at Ives-Lemel Field, with first draw slated for 12 p.m. Brevard then opens conference play with back-to-back matches against Pfeiffer University on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m., followed by Salem College on Sunday, March 10 at 1 p.m. BC's contest against Salem marks the Tornados' Faculty & Staff Appreciation match, where Brevard will honor dedicated members of the campus community.
