Brevard Prepares for Trip to LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Brevard College women's basketball team (5-13, 3-9 USAS) is set to travel to LaGrange, Georgia for a USA South matchup on Saturday against LaGrange College (12-6, 6-4 USAS) at 2 p.m.

The Tornados will look to avenge an early-season setback at the hands of the Panthers. LaGrange claimed a 61-47 victory back on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Boshamer Gymnasium.

Brevard will be searching for a victory to halt a five-game slide. BC has remained competitive through its recent stretch of competition, as four out of its last five losses have come within single-digit margins.

LaGrange will carry a four-game winning streak into Saturday's contest. The Panthers most recently upended Wesleyan College, 81-69, behind a well-balanced offensive effort.

In the Tornados' first matchup against the Panthers in 2019-20, BC was led by Shakirah Thompson who scored 12 points on four made 3-pointers. Avery Lockwood added 10 points, while Deja Riddick grabbed nine rebounds.

Brevard will continue its stretch of four-consecutive road contests, playing its second of the trip on Tuesday, February 4 against Bob Jones University at 7 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
