BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Women's Basketball team (10-14) looks to end their 2018-19 season on a positive note as it travels to Misenheimer, N.C. for a rematch of last Saturday's 67-63 thrilling victory against Pfeiffer University (8-13) on Wednesday evening. Tip-off of the non-conference matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game can be followed via live stats here, along with live stream here.

With USA South regular season play now complete, the Tornados finished the 2018-19 USA South Conference slate with five wins, including season sweeps over Agnes Scott and Wesleyan. This season marked the first that Brevard College was eligible for countable conference games towards a regular season championship.

The Tornados were also eligible for weekly Conference Player of the Week awards, which freshman Avery Lockwood garnered early in the season by being named "Rookie of the Week."

Brevard College athletes will also be eligible for USA South All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship awards as the season winds down.

The Tornados, led by an explosive career-high and record-breaking performance by senior guard Annalee Bollinger, earned a hard-fought 67-63 victory last Saturday on Senior Day against Pfeiffer at the Boshamer Gymnasium.

Bollinger, who tallied a career-high 28 points and broke the school record for career 3-pointers made, exploded in the fourth quarter with 15 points, including 4-of-5 from long-range. Bollinger hit back-to-back 3-pointers with 1:15 & 44 seconds remaining in the game to give the Tornados a 66-63 lead.

After a key defensive stop, Bollinger was fouled and sent to the free throw line, and the career 84.2% free throw shooter knocked in the front end of her two attempts to lift Brevard over Pfeiffer 67-63.

Both sides were evenly matched throughout the contest that saw five ties and four lead changes.

Pfeiffer was carried by a double-double performance by Brina Bentley, who posted 11 points and 16 rebounds. Bentley and the Falcons also end their 2018-19 season against Brevard, as their two games against BC are sandwiched in-between a 77-64 defeat against Virginia-Lynchburg suffered on Monday.

Both Bollinger and senior guard JaTasha Hollinger will be suiting up for the final time in their collegiate careers on Wednesday evening. The seniors have helped the program this season reach the double-digit win mark for the second time in program NCAA-history, as the team tallied 12 wins in 2017-18.
