Spring Senior Profile: Quentin Jackson #ThankYouSeniors

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting April 1 throughout the Spring of 2020, bctornados.com will be featuring senior student-athletes from Spring sports to honor their dedication and commitment to Brevard College Athletics through their Tornado careers.

BREVARD, N.C. – Senior sprinter Quentin Jackson, a three-year member of the Brevard College Track & Field program, is the next honoree in BC Athletics' Spring Senior Profile series, highlighting and honoring 2020 seniors in Spring sports who had their respective seasons cut short due to the impact of COVID-19.

Jackson, a native of Suitland, Maryland, plans to graduate in December of 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Organizational Leadership and a minor in Criminal Justice. The senior plans to come back next Fall to compete for one more season with the BC Football team, where Jackson patrols the defensive backfield.

Jackson currently serves as part of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) program, and was named to the Honor Roll at Brevard College in the Fall of 2019.

Jackson has put together an impressive three-year career with the BC Track & Field team that culminated during the 2019 Spring season. Jackson helped lead Brevard's 4x100 meter relay team to a first-place finish at the 2019 ECAC Track & Field Championships in New Haven, Connecticut. The Tornado relay squad consisting of Eddie Dean, Jackson, Jamerial Parks, and CJ Walton took part in the highly-competitive Men's 4x100 Meter Relay field, taking home gold in the event by placing first with a time of 42.60.

That same Tornado relay team made headlines earlier in the 2019 campaign at the USA South Conference Track & Field Championships in Berea, Kentucky, where they finished in second place in the 4x100 relay race with a final time of 43.19.

"My favorite memory at Brevard College was winning the 2019 ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl in Pittsburgh over Carnegie Mellon University with the Brevard College Football team," commented Jackson. The senior defensive back was part of BC's first postseason appearance and victory in the Fall, as he was part of a defensive unit that set numerous records en route to BC's historic 8-2 season.
