CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Brevard College Men's soccer team (2-1, 1-1 USAS) fell in a USA South Conference contest, 3-1 to Covenant College (2-1, 2-0 USAS) Saturday at the UTC Sports Complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Tornados got on the board first with a 20th-minute goal by freshman Ryan Lynch, which gave the Charlotte, North Carolina native his first collegiate goal. Late in the first half, Covenant equalized via a goal by junior Mercer Stout. In the second half, the Scots scored in the 66th minute and 88th minute from Knox Gibson and Jake Major, respectively.

The Tornados played with 10-men for 80 minutes after a red card early in the first half forced BC to play with a man-down.

Covenant outshot Brevard, 11-8 in the game, and recorded seven more corner kicks than the Tornados.

The Tornados return to conference play next Saturday, February 27 when they face off against the Maryville College Scots at 7 p.m. in Maryville, Tennessee. Live video and statistics will be provided, courtesy of Maryville College.
