BREVARD, N.C. - Looking to bounce back in the win column, the Brevard College baseball team (2-14) will host a pair of non-conference foes from the ODAC conference in Hampden-Sydney College (10-3) and Emory & Henry College (5-8). BC meets the Tigers of Hampden-Sydney on Monday and battles the Wasps of Emory & Henry on Wednesday, with both contests slated for a 3 p.m. first-pitch time.

The Tornados are looking to recover from a sweep at the hands of conference opponent Maryville over the weekend. Brevard fell by a 6-1 margin in the front end of a doubleheader on Saturday before dropping 17-9 and 11-3 scores in the second contest on Saturday and a Sunday afternoon matinee at home.

To date in 2020, Jason Jucker leads all Tornados with 18 hits. Daiquon Davenport has made an impact in his first season in a Brevard uniform, scoring a total of 11 runs and driving in a team-best nine RBI's with four doubles and a home run.

With four relief appearances each, right-handed relievers Jakob Dennis and Samuel Goude have both been effective, holding a 2.57 and 3.00 ERA, respectively. Kross Robinson leads all Tornados with 31 strikeouts,  a mark that is fifth in the USA South.

Hampden-Sydney comes into play on Monday on a seven-game winning streak that includes a victory over USA South opponent Greensboro College. The Tigers have highlighted their season with a victory, 15-7, over then-number 25 ranked Christopher Newport University.

Emory & Henry holds a 5-8 record overall entering Wednesday's battle. The Wasps have played four total games against USA South opponents, dropping a pair against Covenant and one game vs. Maryville, while earning a 13-4 win over Covenant.

After BC's two midweek non-conference games, the Tornados will travel to Montgomery, Alabama to face Huntingdon College on March 13-15 for a three-day, three-game series beginning on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The series will be considered non-conference due to USA South Baseball schedule realignment.
