BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Volleyball program has announced its schedule for the upcoming Spring season of competition.

Brevard's schedule features competition consisting entirely of USA South West Division foes, with eight matches out of 15 counting towards conference play.

"I am very excited to see this team in action in the coming weeks," said Head Coach Anna Grant. "We were able to take advantage of our time in the fall to focus on skill training, strength and conditioning and developing culture and I am looking forward to seeing that pay off in our games this spring. We are very thankful for the opportunity to compete this spring as most of the schools in our division decided to play doubleheaders to give our players more opportunities to play and win."

The Tornados are scheduled to open their Spring season on Saturday, March 6 by hosting Agnes Scott College inside the Boshamer Gymnasium. The two teams will play a doubleheader, with the first contest slated for 1 p.m. with the second slated shortly following the first at 3:30 p.m. In each doubleheader during the spring season, BC's first contest will count towards the standings, with the second counting as a non-conference match.

BC continues play the following weekend on Saturday, March 13 in Montgomery, Alabama against Huntingdon College at 12 and 2:30 p.m. The Tornados then come back home for a mid-week doubleheader against Piedmont College at 5 and 7:30 p.m., followed by a weekend doubleheader against LaGrange College on Sunday, March 21 at 3 and 5:30 p.m.

The Tornados are then scheduled to travel to Maryville, Tennessee on Tuesday, March 23 to face Maryville College on Tuesday, March 23 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. before heading to Macon, Georgia to battle Wesleyan College on Saturday, March 27 at 12 and 2:30 p.m.

Brevard returns home for the final time on Saturday, April 3 to host Berea College for a single conference contest at 2 p.m. prior to concluding the regular season on Saturday, April 10 with a trip to Lookout Mountain, Georgia to play Covenant College at 2 and 4:30 p.m.

For the first time as members of the USA South, the Tornados are eligible for postseason play. While the NCAA previously canceled championship events for fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the USA South will still crown divisional champions in Men's and Women's Soccer and Volleyball. These three sports will compete via an intra-divisional, single-round robin format amongst the top-four teams in each division, culminating with post-season divisional tournaments. The first round of the USA South Conference Volleyball West Division Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, while the West Division Championship game is slated for Saturday, April 17.
