BREVARD, N.C. – Senior Samantha Sepe, a member of the Brevard College Women's Tennis team for two years, is the next honoree in BC Athletics' Spring Senior Profile series, highlighting and honoring 2020 seniors in Spring sports who had their respective seasons cut short due to the impact of COVID-19.

Sepe, a native of Niceville, Florida, graduated from Brevard with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Science. Her post-graduation plans include pursuing a coaching career in tennis before later entering the medical world.

On the tennis courts, Sepe put together a prolific career in her two seasons with the Tornados. The senior won a total of 20 singles matches and 18 doubles matches, all coming while slotted at the number-one position for the Tornados. Overall, Sepe compiled a 20-3 (.870) singles and an 18-3 (.857) doubles record and went a perfect 8-0 in both USA South Conference singles and doubles action – all coming over the course of her junior campaign in 2019.

Sepe's junior season included a 12-match singles win streak that helped lift the Tornado women's tennis squad to a 12-win season in 2019. The Tornados matched the longest winning streak in the program's NCAA-era history by stringing together a 10-match team win streak.

Over the 12-match streak, Sepe dropped just one set and started the streak with eight-straight, 6-0, 6-0 wins without dropping a single game, winning a total of 96 consecutive games. Sepe's junior season culminated with USA South All-Conference First Team and USA South First Team West Division honors, being selected as a USA South Women's Tennis Player of the Week, and an ITA All-Academic Team award given to the BC women's tennis team in 2019.

"I really can't pick just one favorite memory at Brevard College," commented Sepe. I met some of the most amazing people here, had an undefeated tennis season in conference play my first semester here, and won homecoming queen. Coming here was one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I am definitely going to miss it!"
