DECATUR, Ga. - The Brevard College women's soccer team (3-1, 3-1 USAS) cruised to a 4-0 USA South Conference victory against Agnes Scott College (0-2, 0-2 USAS) on Saturday afternoon in Decatur, Georgia.

Four different Tornados found the back of the net in the dominant victory that saw Brevard outshoot the host Scotties by a 36-1 margin.

Junior midfielder Abbie Petrosky tallied four points (one goal, two assists) to lead all Tornados on the offensive end. Junior midfielder Alyssa Hetherington notched her first goal of the 2021 Spring season, while Jessica Tenjhay and Abbie Worsencroft each logged their first career goal. Tae Brown and Ashley Royster dished out their first career assists as 13 different Tornados attempted shots in the match.

Senior goalkeeper Rebeccah Rojas (3-1) kept her second clean sheet of the season, saving the only shot that was taken her way in the offensive-heavy contest for Brevard.

Ashley Kopczyk (0-2) saved 15 shots for the Scotties, as the Tornados unleashed 19 shots-on-goal on the afternoon.

After 20 scoreless minutes, the Tornados broke through, as Tenjhay put in a Petrosky pass to give Brevard a 1-0 lead.

The Tornados let nine shots fly through the remaining 23 minutes of the second half before taking their 1-0 advantage into the halftime break.

After controlling possession with eight shot attempts and a pair of corner kicks through the first 20 minutes of the second half, BC scored its second goal - a Petrosky strike assisted by Royster in the 65th minute - that doubled Brevard's lead.

Hetherington found the back of the net in the 71st minute to extend BC's margin to 3-0, before a Worsencroft goal at the 86-minute mark pushed the Tornado lead to a commanding 4-0 margin that they would carry to the finish line.

Brevard will look to continue its winning ways next Saturday, March 6, as the Tornados are scheduled to travel to Macon, Georgia for a conference tilt against Wesleyan College, with first touch slated for 4 p.m.
