2019 BREVARD COLLEGE WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
BREVARD, N.C. - Head Coach Juan Mascaro has announced the Brevard College Women's Soccer Schedule for the upcoming 2019 season.
The slate includes eight home matches at Ives-Lemel Field and 18 regular season matches in total.
BC opens its season up on Friday, August 30 with a home match against NCAA DIII Emory and Henry under the lights at 7 p.m. The match marks the first time since the 2013-14 season that the Tornados have opened their regular season at home.
The Tornados then embark on a four-match road swing to open the month of September. Brevard begins its road trip by visiting Winston-Salem for a midweek showdown against Piedmont International University on Wednesday, September 4 at 5 p.m., before heading to USA South East Division member Methodist University on Saturday, September 7 at 1 p.m.
Brevard concludes its road trip against two first-time opponents as it faces Allen University and Southern Virginia for the first time on the pitch. BC heads to Columbia, S.C. to face Allen on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. before finishing up the four-match swing at Southern Virginia in Buena Vista, Va. on Saturday, September 14 at 6 p.m.
The Tornados return home to square off against the USA South East Division's Salem College on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Field. Last season, the Tornados scored two first-half goals and held off the Spirits, 2-1, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Brevard closes the month of September out with three-straight road matches. BC heads to William Peace University in Cary, N.C. on Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. before trekking to Charlotte, N.C. to face Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
The Tornados will end the month of September by opening up its USA South Conference schedule at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga. on Saturday, September 28 at 5:30 p.m.
Brevard returns home to face defending USA South Conference tournament champion Piedmont College on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. before embarking on a two-match conference road trip. The Tornados first head to LaGrange, Ga. to face the LaGrange College Panthers on Friday, October 4 at 3 p.m. before making the trip to Montgomery, Ala. on Saturday, October 5 to match up with Huntingdon College at 4 p.m. ET.
The Tornados then return home for a season-long three-match homestand. BC first takes a break from conference play to host nearby institution Warren Wilson College on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 p.m. before returning to conference action for back-to-back weekend matches. BC squares off against Agnes Scott College on Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m. before hosting Wesleyan College on Sunday, October 13 at 3 p.m. Last season, the Tornados took a thrilling 1-0 decision in Decatur, Ga. over Agnes Scott before handling Wesleyan in Macon, Ga., 5-1.
Brevard makes one last road trip in its regular season when it visits Berea, Ky. on Saturday, October 19 to play Berea College at 1 p.m.
BC closes out its 2019 USA South slate by hosting Maryville College on Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
The Tornados' regular season concludes within the confines of Ives-Lemel Field as they host the Bruins of Bob Jones University on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
Brevard College Women's Soccer is coming off of a historic, record-breaking season that saw it make its first-ever postseason appearance in the ECAC DIII Championships.
The Brevard College Women's Soccer team, under the guidance of Coach Mascaro, won 11 games to match the highest win total (NCAA-era) in school history.
The Tornados have compiled double-digit win totals in the last two seasons for the first time in the program's NCAA-era history.
2018 saw numerous individual and team record broke for the Tornados, while BC student-athletes garnered conference, regional, and national honors as a part of their widespread success.
