Tornados fall in tough road loss to Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Brevard women's soccer suffered a setback at the hands of Huntingdon 1-0 in overtime Saturday night.

After a 0-0 stalemate at the end of regulation, Huntingdon's Camryn Hale found the back of the net in the 95th minute to give the Hawks the victory.

The Tornados led the shot margin in the match (9-5) and committed fewer fouls (15-9) than the Hawks on the match.

In the first half Brevard recorded three shots, two of which were saved by Huntingdon goalkeeper Danielle Heim.

Brevard goalkeeper Hannah Weatherall made her second start of the season, and recorded a save in the 55th minute.

Even after outshooting the Hawks over the course of 90 minutes of regulation, the Tornados were unable to record a shot in the overtime period.

Brevard will return to action October 18th as they will host Piedmont.
