FERRUM, Va.- The Brevard women's soccer team dropped their first match of the season 2-1 at the hands of the Ferrum Panthers.

Ferrum's Payton Stuart scored both goals for the Panthers, with the second goal coming in the 81st minute of the match to pull away late from the Tornados.

Stuarts first goal came in the 22nd minute to open up the scoring in the match.

Later in the first half, Brevard's Megan Shina scored in the 36th minute to tie the game.

Brevard (2-1-0) will return home to take on Pfeiffer on September 13.
