The first quarter of action was closely contested with the Pride holding a two-point edge after one period of play, 17-15. Greensboro extended its lead out to seven points, 22-15, before Brevard battled back with a 12-1 scoring run to take a 27-23 lead with 2:30 left in the half. BC maintained its advantage, holding a one-point lead 33-32 at the halftime break.

Brevard rode its positive momentum into the third quarter, taking a game-high seven-point lead 43-36 after a Miller jumper at the 4:05 mark. However, the Pride responded with a lengthy 17-2 scoring stretch that leaked into the fourth quarter as the hosts retook the lead, 53-45, at the 9:37 mark in the fourth period. From there, Greensboro used solid defense to hold off any further comeback attempt from the Tornados, as the Pride improved to 7-0 in conference play with a 12-point victory, 73-61.
