Tornados Head Down to Decatur on Tuesday

BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College women's basketball team (3-5, 3-5 USAS) is slated to return to action Tuesday, traveling to Decatur, Georgia for a conference matchup against Agnes Scott College (0-13, 0-13 USAS), with action beginning at 6:30 p.m.

In an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, spectators will not be permitted to attend USA South Conference men's and women's basketball contests this season. Members of participating teams, game officials, and other essential personnel relevant to event operations will be the only individuals permitted into the venue for 2020-21 USA South basketball games. The policy is in accordance with the USA South Conference's policy announced on January 7, 2021.

The Tornados are coming off a weekend sweep against Wesleyan College. Brevard pulled out a pair of close wins on Friday and Saturday, with BC edging Wesleyan 59-56 on Friday before a 69-60 triumph on Saturday. 

Senior forward Destiny Williams is coming in averaging 16.2 point-per-game through 8 contests this season, while grabbing 6.8 boards a game and swiping a team-high 3.8 steals a contest.

Agnes Scott has been paced by Shay Sweat and Erika McLeod, who have put up 8.7 and 6.1 points-per-game, respectively.

BC is scheduled to conclude its regular season at home on Friday and Saturday when the Tornados welcome Huntingdon College to The Bosh. The Tornados and Hawks face off at 7 p.m. on Friday before a 2 p.m. tilt on Saturday. The Tornados will honor its senior class prior to the beginning of Friday's contest, with the ceremony airing live on youtube.com/BrevardCollegeTornados.
