BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College women’s basketball team (1-4, 1-4 USAS) prepares to battle Piedmont College (8-3, 6-0 USAS) on Tuesday evening at the Boshamer Gymnasium at 6 p.m., concluding a four-game homestand for the Tornados.

Live video and statistics will be available, free-of-charge, on youtube.com/ BrevardCollegeTornados and bctornados.com.

In an abundance of caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, spectators will not be permitted to attend USA South Conference men's and women's basketball contests this season. Members of participating teams, game officials, and other essential personnel relevant to event operations will be the only individuals permitted into the venue for 2020-21 USA South basketball games. The policy is in accordance with the USA South Conference's policy announced on January 7, 2021.

The Tornados will look to rebound from a pair of setbacks over the weekend from nationally-ranked #15 Maryville College. BC was led by a 10-point performance from Destiny Williams on Friday, while Deja Riddick put up 15 points and seven boards in the series finale on Saturday.

Brevard has competed in five contests thus far in the 2020-21 campaign, with Williams averaging 12.3 points-per-game alongside an average of six rebounds. Riddick leads all Tornados with 8.6 rebounds-per-game to go alongside 9.4 ppg.

The Lions come into play on Tuesday with an unblemished 6-0 mark in conference play, earning victories against Covenant, Huntingdon, and Wesleyan. The Lions are led by Nakiyah Washington (16.3 ppg), Hope Franklin (15.6 ppg), and Livia Skinner (14.5 ppg).

Following Tuesday’s contest, the Tornados are scheduled to hit the road, traveling to Macon, Georgia to face Wesleyan College (2-5, 2-5 USAS) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Tune into bctornados.com for links to follow along with the action on the road.
