BREVARD, N.C. - Coming off a 64-57 triumph at home on Tuesday over Bob Jones University, The Brevard College's women's basketball team (2-2) returns to action this Saturday when the Tornados match up with the Pfeiffer University Falcons (1-4) in Misenheimer, North Carolina. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

In addition to Brevard's weekend road trip, the Tornados will be taking over the USA South Conference's Instagram account (@usa_south), starting on Friday and ending on Sunday. The USA South Instagram Takeover initiative aims to give teams of various schools and sports the opportunity to provide fans an inside look at road trips over the course of their respective seasons.

The Tornados will have the opportunity to earn their first consecutive wins for the first time this season, as Brevard battles Pfeiffer. Head Coach Donald Hudson's team is coming off an impressive showing against Bob Jones last Tuesday at The Bosh that saw junior guard Shakirah Thompson net a career-high 19 points, propelled by five 3-pointers. Two other Tornados (Deja Riddick, 13 points; Taryn Ledford, 10 points) reached the double-figure threshold in Brevard's home victory.

Thompson's 19-point outburst has catapulted the Atlanta native to a team-leading 10.8 points-per-game, as the junior's 2.5 3-pointers-per-game also leads all Tornado shooters.

Brevard's center duo of Krysta Davis and Avery Lockwood have paced the Tornados defensively. Davis and Lockwood have each snagged 7.8 rebounds-per-game, as both are tied-for-second on the team to Riddick's 8.5 rebounds-per-game mark.

Through four games thus far this season, Coach Hudson's squad is averaging 7.3 3-pointers made-per-game, in addition to 39.3 rebounds-per-game. Brevard's offense has had its fair share of second-chance opportunities this season, with the Tornados averaging 13 offensive rebounds-per-game.

Pfeiffer has been led in the early goings of this year by three double-digit scorers: Mya Johnson (12.5 ppg), Brina Bentley (12.2 ppg), and Kourtni Pineon (11 ppg) Defensively, A'Mya McClain's 2.3 steals-per-contest leads all Falcons.

Following Brevard's weekend road trip to Pfeiffer, the Tornados are off of game action through Thanksgiving before returning to The Bosh next Saturday, November 30 to open USA South Conference play against LaGrange College at 2 p.m.
