BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College women's basketball team returns to the Boshamer Gymnasium for a Sunday afternoon matchup against the Methodist University Monarchs (0-2). Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. between the two USA South Conference member institutions.

The game will be live-streamed here through BoxCast, and simulcast onto the Official YouTube Channel of Brevard College Tornados Athletics. Live statistics will be available here

Fans are encouraged to bring cans and non-perishables to Friday night's game to support Brevard's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in its efforts to collect food items for the USA South Conference's "Cans Across The Conference" initiative. All cans collected will be donated to the Bread of Life Food Bank in Brevard.

The Tornados will look to bounce back from a mid-week defeat suffered at the hands of Berry College, 71-52, on Thursday, November 14 in Mount Berry, Georgia. Mekindia Martin and Shakirah Thompson each reached double-digit scoring totals, but the Tornados were hindered by 21 turnovers that translated to a total of 28 points for Berry.

Thus far in the early goings of 2019-20, Brevard's Deja Riddick, who scores a career-high 22 points in the season-opener vs. Toccoa Falls College, has led the way with 11 points-per-game. Taryn Ledford and Thompson have each added nine points-per-game, while senior center Krysta Davis' 8.5 rebounds-per-game have led the way for Brevard's defensive efforts.

Methodist has been paced by Tyzarea Alexander, who has recorded 13.5 points-per-game over the Monarchs' first two contests.

Following Brevard's Sunday afternoon showdown against Methodist, the Tornados will gear up for a doubleheader with the men's team vs. Bob Jones University. The women's squad will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, while the men's team will begin shortly after at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The doubleheader marks the first games of Brevard College Athletics' Toy Drive and will serve as BC basketball's Faculty & Staff Appreciation games.
