Brevard Looks to Bounce Back Against LaGrange

BREVARD, N.C.- After having its five-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday night against Piedmont, Brevard will come back home looking to earn another win against LaGrange on Saturday afternoon in Boshamer Gymnasium.

Brevard (9-6) is coming off its first loss since Dec. 31, 2017, after their 76-59 setback to Piedmont on Tuesday night. The Lions limited the Tornados to 19-of-50 from the field and forced 21 turnovers in the loss, as the Brevard defense allowed more than 50 points for the first time since Jan. 10th.

Junior guard Annalee Bollinger continues to lead the offense, averaging 14.9 points per game, good for 11th in the USA South Conference. Freshman guard Ty'She Washington continues to provide a spark off the bench, as she is second on the team in points per game (9.4).

On the defensive end of the floor, senior forward Whitney DeMoss leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game, while freshman forward Destiny Williams leads the team with 2.6 steals per game. Williams also ranks tied for 10th in the conference with 39 steals recorded on the 2017-18 campaign.

LaGrange (8-9) heads into the game winners of two of their last three contests, with their most recent game coming in a 73-58 win over Wesleyan on Thursday. In that game, LaGrange shot 28-of-53 from the floor (52.8%) and out-rebounded the Wolves 46-26.

The Panthers have two players averaging double-digit scoring figures per game, in Lauren Johnson (14.1) and Marilauren Farr (12.4). Johnson also ranks tied for 10th place in the USA South Conference with Bollinger, averaging 3.2 assists per game.
