BREVARD, N.C.- Brevard women's basketball will be looking to rebound against Wesleyan and Covenant this weekend, as the team will go on the road for back-to-back contests.

The Tornados (1-3) suffered another setback Wednesday night at the hands of Maryville, 92-75, a game where the Scots went 29-33 (87.9%) from the foul line and out-rebounded Brevard 48-26.

Junior guard Annalee Bollinger led all scorers in the game against Maryville with 27 points, with 23 of them coming in the first half, which included seven 3-pointers (eight 3-pointers total). Whitney DeMoss also had a solid outing, as she recorded her third double-double of the season (10 points, 12 rebounds).

On the season Bollinger leads the team in points per game (19.3), which ranks third in the USA South Conference behind only Sabrina Shepherd (Salem, 22.2) and Katie Lewis (Greensboro, 21). Through four games, DeMoss is first in the USA South Conference in field goal percentage (76.2), and ninth in rebounds per game (9).

In the game on Friday night, Brevard will take on a Wesleyan (1-2) team that has dropped two straight contests, including a most recent a 66-48 loss to Huntingdon. The Wolves lone win on the season came in the first game of the year on Nov. 15, a 90-53 win over Toccoa Falls. The two teams share a common opponent through the early part of the season, as they both have faced off against Berry.

Wesleyan has three players averaging double-digit points on the season, with Alexis Russell leading the way with 16 points per game, followed by Taylor Thigpen (14.7) and TK Blount (14).

Less than 24 hours after the game against Wesleyan, Brevard will travel up to Lookout Mountain, Ga. to square off with Covenant (1-3) at 2 p.m., another team looking for their first win since Nov. 15. The Scots are led on offense by Joanna Smith, who leads the team in points (14) and rebounds (11.3) per game.

This weekend will be the first of five back-to-back games for Brevard this season.
