Tornados Downed 9-0 by Battling Bishops

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College men's tennis team (2-8, 0-1 USA South) fell 9-0 to defending USA South Conference champion and nationally-ranked No. 19 NC Wesleyan University (8-6, 3-0 USAS) on Sunday afternoon at the McCoy Tennis Complex.

Number-two doubles duo of Devin Horton and Jamarcus Walker were able to win a game in their doubles match, but the Battling Bishops took a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.

Horton (two sets), Walker (one set), and James Srsich (one set) all claimed set wins individually in singles play, but the defending champions cruised to the clean sweep victory.

BC next hosts Birmingham-Southern College on Friday, March 24 at 1 p.m.
