BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (1-3, 1-2 USAS) returned to the McCoy Tennis Complex on a rainy Friday afternoon, falling 9-0 to the visiting Piedmont College Lions (2-8, 2-0 USAS) in USA South Conference play.

In doubles play, BC's Andrew Ingram and JaMarcus Walker paired up in the top-flight, falling 8-2 to Piedmont's top doubles duo of Silas Sandles and Roman Webb. Brevard's Miles Schafer and Devin Horton picked up a game point in the number-two spot ahead of singles play.

Piedmont controlled action through singles play, winning three matches in straight-set, 6-0, 6-0 fashion. Ingram claimed a pair of games in the second set of his top-flight singles match, while Horton and Walker also registered game points in their respective matches.

The Tornados and Lions are slated to meet in a non-conference contest scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. inside the McCoy Tennis Complex on the campus of Brevard College.
