BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College men's tennis freshman Ethan McGee has been honored by the USA South Conference, earning Men's Tennis Player of the Week accolades following BC's season-opening 8-1 victory over Berea College last Saturday at the McCoy Tennis Complex.
McGee, a sophomore from Salisbury, North Carolina, helped lead the Tornados to victory with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in the number-one singles play. The sophomore also teamed up with junior Andrew Ingram in the top-spot in doubles action, taking an 8-3 victory to pace the Tornados.
The award marks the first USA South Athlete of the Week honoree for the Tornados men's tennis team and the sixth selection across all Brevard College sports in the 2020-21 season.
