BC Men’s Soccer Announces Fall 2021 Schedule

FALL 2021 BREVARD COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE LINK

BREVARD, N.C. – The defending Spring 2021 USA South Conference West Division Champion Brevard College men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the upcoming Fall 2021 season of competition.

BC's slate of opponents features 16 matches in total, with 15 regular season and one exhibition contest. The Tornados will play six conference contests inside of the west division and have nine non-conference matchups scattered across its schedule leading up to the USA South Conference Men's Soccer Tournament, held October 30 through November 6 where an automatic berth to the NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Tournament will be on the line.

"We are excited to get back to a somewhat normal season," commented Head Men's Soccer Coach Helio "L" D'Anna. "The excitement from the past two seasons keeps building and the players want to continue the journey. The Fall 2021 schedule will challenge us and enable us to compete and achieve. The strength of schedule and the conference format will allow us both to contend to win the conference and/or qualify for nationals. There will be no easy games, but this program is ready to take on what's ahead"

Brevard's Fall 2021 campaign begins with an exhibition contest at home against NCAA DII Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday, August 28 at 4:30 p.m. at Ives-Lemel Family Field. The match kicks off a five-match homestand for the Tornados, who face non-conference opponents Carolina University (Thursday, Sept. 2, 7 p.m.), Methodist University (Saturday, Sept. 4, 4 p.m.), Southern Virginia University (Wednesday, Sept. 8, 7 p.m.), and the University of the South (Saturday, Sept. 11, 1 p.m.) all on BC's home turf of Ives-Lemel Family Field.

The Tornados will play local WNC-area school Warren Wilson College on the road in Swannanoa, North Carolina on Wednesday, September 15 at 4 p.m. to kick off a three-game road trip. Brevard then heads to Emory, Virginia to face Emory and Henry College, with game-time TBA. BC concludes its road swing in Greensboro, North Carolina against Spring 2021 USA South Conference East Division champ Greensboro College on Wednesday, September 22.

Brevard opens up conference action on Saturday, September 25 at 5 p.m. against Huntingdon College at Ives-Lemel Family Field before closing out the month of September in Misenheimer, North Carolina on Wednesday, September 29 against Pfeiffer University.

October has the Tornados dive deep into conference action, with five of its six matches counting towards conference standings. Brevard first hosts Covenant College on Saturday, October 2 at 4:30 p.m. in a rematch of this Spring's thrilling USA South West Division Championship contest that saw both sides play to a 4-4 draw before BC claimed the hardware in a penalty kick shootout, 5-3. The Tornados then travel to Demorest, Georgia to play Piedmont College on Tuesday, October 5, and Berea, Kentucky to match up with Berea College on Saturday, October 9.

Brevard takes a brief pause from conference action to host Warren Wilson College on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. to conclude its season series with the Owls. BC will host Maryville College on Saturday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m. in Brevard's home finale before concluding conference play on the road on Saturday, October 23 at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia.

Attention will then be turned to the USA South Conference Men's Soccer Tournament, with first-round action beginning on campus sites on Saturday, October 30. The highest overall seed will then host the Semifinals and Championship match on Friday and Saturday, November 5-6, with an automatic berth to the NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Tournament at stake.
