BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College men's soccer student-athlete Vinicius Giannaccini has been selected as USA South Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week following his five-point performance (two goals, one assist) last Sunday against Berea College in a 3-0 victory for the Tornados. 

Giannaccini, a native of Jacarei, Brazil, was involved in every goal for the Tornados in their 3-0 triumph over conference foe Berea. Giannaccini opened the scoring in the 21st minute with the eventual game winning goal. He then assisted on a goal in the 53rd minute before scoring an insurance goal in the 70th minute. 

The nomination marks the first USA South Athlete of the Week honoree for the Tornados men's soccer team and the sixth selection across all Brevard College sports in the 2020-21 season.

Brevard is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 10 for a mid-week conference matchup in Maryville, Tennessee against Maryville College at 7 p.m. The contest, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 27, had been postponed due to inclement weather.
