BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Tornados Men's Soccer is set for its first USA South Conference matchup this weekend, hosting Piedmont College at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Sunday at 2 p.m.

BC is coming off an emphatic win over NCAA Division II foe Southern Wesleyan University, 11-1, in the Tornados' season-opener last Sunday. Goals came from Francesco Bonometti (3), JP Suarti (2), Pedro Herrera (2), Vinicius Giannaccini (1), Adam Spencer (1), Marquis Dickerson (1), and Rami Kadri (1).

BC's 11-goal outburst in its season-opener is the most goals scored in a single game in Brevard's NCAA-era, supplanting the previous mark set on September 30, 2017, vs. Berea College. Bonometti tied the single-game NCAA-era record for BC men's soccer with his hat trick of goals, joining Andrew Gallowitch (September 28, 2010) and Jorge Jimenez (September 9, 2017) at the top of the record books.

Piedmont College comes into play on Sunday kicking off their season at Ives-Lemel Family Field. Piedmont was selected fourth in the USA South Men's Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll for the West Division.
