Brenner Woodcock has been named Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Brevard College, announced Head Coach JD LeMay.  Woodcock arrives to Brevard from Averett University where he competed as a men's lacrosse student-athlete in the USA South Conference.

"I am extremely excited for Brenner to join the BC Lacrosse staff," said Coach LeMay, "Brenner's lacrosse IQ and dedication will help develop our student-athletes. Having Brenner will allow our practices and game days to run smoother. I am excited to have him and I can't wait to get started." 

Woodcock will begin his duties at Brevard College on August 1 in preparation for the 2022-23 academic year and the start of LeMay's second season at the helm of the Tornados.

"I am grateful and thrilled to begin my coaching career as the Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Brevard," commented Woodcock. "I would like to thank Coach LeMay for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to growing as a coach under his direction.  I am also excited to get to work with the team and I hope to have a positive impact on the players and the program as a whole."

As a midfielder for the Averett men's lacrosse program, Woodcock scored seven goals and registered a team-best 12 assists in 2022.  In his collegiate career, he scored 14 goals to go along with 21 assists in 34 games.   Woodcock was also a team captain of the Averett University eSports team for two seasons, while also completing an internship with the athletic department's Strength and Conditioning program.

A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Woodcock graduated from Averett University with a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education/Coaching with a minor in Communication Studies.
