BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Men's Basketball program has announced the schedule for its upcoming 2020-21 season. The schedule includes 13 games – seven at home and six away – with 12 USA South Conference contests.

"We are very excited for the opportunity to get out on the court and compete," said Head Coach Lee Burgess. "We know a lot of people have done a lot of work to make this possible, so we are very thankful to be able to play."

The Tornados will open their season with a home contest against Greensboro College at the Boshamer Gymnasium on Sunday, January 10 at 3 p.m. before diving into their 12-game conference slate.

Brevard continues a stretch of five consecutive home games to open the 2020-21 season by facing Covenant College in a weekend doubleheader. In USA South play, teams will play opponents within their division only in a double-round robin format each weekend prior to the USA South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The Tornados will welcome Covenant for a Friday, January 15 matchup at 7 p.m. before concluding the two-game set with the Scots on Saturday, January 16 at 3 p.m.

BC will wrap up its five-game homestand at the Boshamer Gymnasium by facing Maryville College on Friday, January 22 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 23 at 4 p.m.

The month of February opens up with a trip to Demorest, Georgia for the Tornados, as Brevard faces Piedmont College on the road on Friday, February 5 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, February 6 at 2 p.m. BC will then travel to LaGrange, Georgia to face off with LaGrange College on Friday, February 12 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 13 at 4 p.m.

The Tornados and Mountaineers will square off on Saturday, February 27 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, February 28 at 12 p.m.

The 2021 USA South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 3 as the top-two teams in both divisions face each other, with the winners set for the championship game on Saturday, March 6. BC will be eligible for the tournament for the first time as official members of NCAA Division III, as the Tornados are now fully eligible for both conference and NCAA postseason play.

The Tornados enter the upcoming season coming off a seven-win 2019-20 campaign which included six victories in USA South play. BC welcomes a total of 17 newcomers alongside five returners from last season's team.

All attendance announcements are still to-be-determined. Brevard College will follow local, state, and USA South Conference health guidelines when making decisions about possible in-person fan attendance.
