Brevard and Berea have met one time already in the 2019-20 season, with the Tornados claiming victory with a 76-68 victory over the Mountaineers on December 7, 2019, at the Boshamer Gymnasium. Brevard started fast, outscoring the visitors 27-4 in the game's first eight minutes to propel the Tornados toward their first victory of the season.

Brevard's offensive surge was charged by junior forward Cannon Lamb, who tied his career-high set this season with 21 points to lead all scorers in Saturday's win. The Marion, North Carolina native shot 9-of-14 from the field and grabbed a team-best seven boards alongside three assists.

The trio of Cannon Lamb, Levi Lamb, and Demari Hopper have been leading Brevard's recent stretch of hot play of late. Over the Tornados' last three contests, Hopper's 18.7 points-per-game have led all Tornados. The senior guard from Gastonia, North Carolina has scored in double figures in BC's last seven regular-season games.

Senior forward Levi Lamb has posted an 18.3 ppg average over the span of BC's last three contests, including a career-high 25 points scored in Brevard's 83-79 triumph over NC Wesleyan College last Sunday at The Bosh. The Atlanta native's 15.8 points-per-game over the course of the regular season is top-10 in the USA South Conference.

Junior forward Cannon Lamb enjoyed a career performance of his own in Brevard's battle against Methodist University last Saturday. He tallied a career-best 27 points, eclipsing the 20-point mark for the fourth time in 2019-20 by making 11 field goals and three 3-pointers.

In Wednesday night's matchup, Brevard will once again look to shut down one of the conference's most prolific scorers in Torell Carter. The Berea guard has posted 17.6 ppg, which ranks third overall in the USA South. Overall, the Mountaineers have crashed the defensive glass hard, recording a conference-best 33.1 defensive rebounds-per-game. Berea ranks third in overall rebounds-per-game (41.6) and leads the conference by averaging five blocks-per-game.

Following Wednesday night's matchup, the Tornados will have six days' in-between game action before getting back into USA South play with a trip to Lookout Mountain, Georgia for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against USA South West Division-leading Covenant College (6-4, 3-0 USAS) on Tuesday, January 14.
