All cans collected will be donated to the Bread of Life Food Bank in Brevard.

After Brevard's battle against Pensacola Christian, the Tornados head just up the road to nearby Asheville, North Carolina for a 6 p.m. exhibition matchup against NCAA DI opponent UNC-Asheville at Kimmel Arena.

Brevard will look to bounce back from a tight defeat on Tuesday evening that was dealt by the Screaming Eagles of a Toccoa Falls. The Tornados, who battled back-and-forth with the Screaming Eagles in a battle that featured seven ties and eight lead changes, came back late and had an opportunity at a game-tying 3-pointer that came up just short in the defeat.

Junior forward Levi Lamb, who has totaled over 800 points thus far in his Tornado career, led the offensive attack for Brevard with 22 points. Lamb shot 9-of-20 from the field and made four free throws.

Demari Hopper (11 points), Cannon Lamb (10 points), and Qadhafi Turner (10 points) each reached double-figures for the Brevard offense. Sophomore Hayden Cassell scored seven points to lead BC's bench performers.

Brevard takes on a Pensacola Christian side that is off to a 1-6 start in the early goings of the 2019-20 season. Most recently, the Eagles fell to NCAA DII North Greenville University, 105-70.

Friday's contest against PCC marks the first time that the two schools have faced each other in the sport of men's basketball.

Offensively, the Eagles have been led by John Clay, who has averaged 21 points-per-game through PCC's first seven contests. Clay is second on the team with five rebounds-per-game, just trailing Dakota Pratt's seven rebounds-per-game.

Pensacola Christian has been held to 69.8 points-per-game through its first seven games, while the Eagles have let up an average of 101.2 points-per-game to their opposition.

Brevard will then take on UNC-Asheville for the fifth time in the school's NCAA-era history on Saturday. The Tornados played the Bulldogs in three-straight years from 2014-15 to 2016-17, as Brevard kept the contests close with its NCAA DI counterpart in exhibition matches under Head Coach Lee Burgess' direction. The Tornados and Bulldogs met once more in a game that counted for both opponents in the 2011-12 season, a contest that UNCA claimed.

The Bulldogs of UNCA, led by second-year Head Coach Mike Morrell, are 1-2 so far this season, with their lone victory coming in a 91-76 triumph at The Citadel. All three of UNCA's games this season have been away from Kimmel Arena, as Saturday's test against Brevard marks the Bulldogs' home-opener.

The Tornados and Bulldogs share two common opponents on the program's' respective schedules. Brevard will play The Citadel in exhibition action on November 26 and face Bob Jone University twice (Nov. 19, Dec. 3). The Bulldogs hosted Bob Jones on October 31 in an exhibition game that UNCA claimed, 91-70.

UNCA has three players who are averaging double-digit scoring totals thus far in 2019-29. DeVon Baker leads the way for the Bulldogs with 16.3 points-per-game, while Tajion Jones (15 ppg) and LJ Thorpe (14.3 ppg) have also maintained double-figure averages.
