BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College Men's Basketball team (5-19, 2-15 USAS) fell in its home finale 93-54 to Maryville (17-7, 13-4 USAS) on Wednesday night at the Boshamer Gymnasium.
Qadhafi Turner scored 15 points, hitting 3-of-5 three-pointers. Eric Evans scored a career-high 12 points, making 2-of-3 shots from beyond the arc.
Cannon Lamb added nine points to go along with a team-high five rebounds. Senior Ke'Vel Kingsberry, playing in his final game at the Boshamer Gymnasium, dished out a team-best four assists.
Maryville was led by Calvin Songster who scored 18 points with six rebounds and six assists.
The Tornados jumped out to a 6-0 lead to open the game before Maryville took control to build a 50-21 lead at halftime. Brevard was then outscored 43-33 in the second half.
Maryville shot a blazing 13-of-20 from beyond the arc and 60% overall. Brevard made just 1-of-8 three-pointers in the first half before going 5-of-12 from three in the second stanza. In total, the Tornados shot 34% from the field. BC did hit 10-of-13 (77%) of its shots from the charity stripe.
Brevard will conclude the 2018-19 season with a road trip to Montgomery, Ala. to face USA South foe Huntingdon on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT.
