BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College Tornados Men's Basketball Senior Ke'Vel Kingsberry racked up 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting to highlight a 101-77 setback against Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon at the Boshamer Gymnasium.

The Tornados drop to 5-18 on the season and 2-14 in the USA South, while Greensboro improves to 3-20 and 2-13 in conference play.

BC sophomore Cannon Lamb recorded a team-high 17 points along with three rebounds and two assists to lead BC, while Kingsberry, who was honored pregame, tallied 16.

The Tornados had five scorers reach double-figures on Saturday, as Levi Lamb (12 points), Qadhafi Turner (12 points), and Noah Lea (11 points) rounded out Brevard's offensive threat.

Greensboro forward Eric Peaks Jr. led all scorers with 21 points, stuffing the stat sheet with nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks.

The Pride received a great contribution from their bench, as three Greensboro reserves recorded double-digit scoring totals. GC outscored Brevard 41-16 in bench scoring, with Lea's 11 points being a big factor in Brevard's reserve output.

Both sides shot efficiently from the field, however, Greensboro tallied five more 3-pointers (10-of-22) than Brevard (5-of-22).

Brevard committed eight more turnovers than Greensboro (19-11), and the Pride turned BC' miscues into 21 points-off-turnovers.

Kingsberry was a spark for Brevard early, as the senior forward tallied seven of BC's first nine points.

Both sides battled back and forth through the first 12-plus minutes of action, with Brevard clinging to a 25-23 advantage with 7:43 left in the first half.

From there, the Pride outscored the Tornados 22-8 to end the first half. Greensboro carried a 13-point, 45-32 lead into the locker rooms.

The second half saw Greensboro run away with the victory. The Tornados cut GC's lead to nine points after a Turner free throw brought the Tornados within nine points (48-39, 18:40), and 11 points (66-55, 10:50), however, Greensboro would not budge. The Pride left Brevard with a commanding 101-77 conference victory.

Brevard will close out its 2018-19 home slate against the Randy Lambert-led Maryville College Scots on Wednesday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m. before ending the 2018-19 season at Huntingdon College on Saturday, February 16 at 3 p.m. ET.
