FALL 2021 BREVARD COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE LINK

BREVARD, N.C. – The Brevard College Football team has released its slate of opponents for the upcoming 2021 Fall season, following a successful Spring campaign that saw the Tornados become Spring 2021 USA South Conference West Division Co-Champions.

"After our Covid-challenged but ultimately successful Spring season, we enthusiastically welcome the 2021 Fall schedule, as well as a new member to the USA South, Southern Virginia University," said Head Football Coach Bill Khayat, who enters his fifth season at the helm of BC Football. "A challenging difference for the upcoming season is having only two rather than the usual three out-of-conference games, with one against a Division II opponent, to prepare us for conference play. A positive difference will be playing many more games defending our very own home field as the performance of our team in their first two opportunities demonstrated. We look forward to the presence and spirited support of Nado Nation!"

The Tornados will travel to Rome, Georgia on Saturday, September 4 to kick off their regular season against NCAA DII member-institute Shorter University, with game time TBD. The contest will mark the second time that Brevard will match up with the Hawks of Shorter, as the two sides met back in 2007.

For the second time in three seasons, Brevard will play host to Apprentice School, closing out its two-game non-conference schedule on Saturday, September 11 at 1 p.m. The contest serves as BC's home-opener at Ives-Lemel Family Field on the campus of Brevard College. In 2019, the two schools faced off in BC's season-opener at Brevard Memorial Stadium, however, the game was declared a no-contest due to weather.

The 2021 USA South Conference schedule kicks off on Saturday, September 18, as Brevard heads east to Rocky Mount, North Carolina to face NC Wesleyan College. In the final game of Spring 2021 for Brevard College, the Tornados prevailed in emphatic fashion, 44-41, over the Battling Bishops.

Brevard closes out the month of September with its first conference home contest of the season, as the Tornados host Huntingdon College on Saturday, September 25 at 1 p.m. The Tornados and Hawks split a pair of contests in Spring 2021, with Brevard claiming a 28-3 victory in the first-ever football game at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Senior Day.

Conference action rolls on in October, with Brevard first traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday, October 2 to face Greensboro College. The Tornados return home to face Maryville College on Saturday, October 9 at 2 p.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend at Brevard College, as campus welcomes back its alumni.

BC and LaGrange College meet in LaGrange Georgia on Saturday, October 16 before the Tornados host Southern Virginia – the conference's newest member – on Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m. The Tornados and Knights face off for the first time in the regular season, as both programs met in a scrimmage at Brevard Memorial Stadium back in 2019.

The month of October wraps up on Saturday, October 30 when BC heads to Fayetteville, North Carolina to play Spring 2021 USA South Conference East Division Champion Methodist University, with game time TBD. BC is 2-1 vs. the Monarchs since joining the USA South in 2017.

Brevard's bye week is slated for the weekend of November 6 before the Tornados wrap up the 2021 regular season on Saturday, November 13 at Ives-Lemel Family Field against Averett University at 3 p.m., wrapping up BC's eight-game conference schedule. The team with the best record in conference action will earn the USA South's automatic bid into the 2021 NCAA DIII Football Tournament.
