BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College football team (6-2, 4-2 USAS) will conclude conference and regular season play by traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday, November 16 for an afternoon clash against the Greensboro College Pride (1-8, 0-6 USAS). Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Jamieson Stadium, located at Grimsley High School.

Saturday's contest marks the finale of a record-breaking regular season for Head Coach Bill Khayat's 2019 Tornado squad. With a win, Brevard would tie the 2009 BC squad as the only two teams in the NCAA-era to accumulate seven regular-season victories in a single season. Victory on Saturday would also give the 2019 BC football team the highest winning percentage in program history.

Following this weekend's contest, Brevard will await a possible bowl berth in conjunction with the ECAC. The bowls, dates, times, and teams participating will be announced on Monday, November 18 by ECAC officials.

The Tornados are coming off a season and program-defining victory last Saturday, as Brevard staged a late comeback to defeat the visiting Averett University Cougars, 10-9, at Brevard Memorial Stadium on Senior Night.

Sophomore quarterback Dalton Cole connected with fellow sophomore Blake Taylor for a 36-yard touchdown strike to tie the contest up at 9-9. Stamati Damalos' extra point gave the Tornados their first lead of the game, 10-9, while Wesley Ross' interception on the ensuing Cougar drive sealed the victory for Brevard.

Brevard's record-breaking defense continues to be one of the main storylines this season. With 16 interceptions this year, Brevard has shattered the school record for single-season team interceptions and far-and-away leads the USA South in interceptions and turnovers caused. Brevard's 16 picks this season are tied-for-ninth in all of DIII football.

Individually, Brevard's Steffon Canady ranks third in the conference with seven sacks to his ledger. Brevard's Ross and Joc Pledger each have recorded three interceptions this season, which sits tied-for-third in the USA South.

Greensboro comes into Saturday's contest on a six-game slide with its last victory coming on September 28 on the road at Gallaudet University. Greensboro is led defensively by Jeremiah Speed with 83 tackles, which ranks second in the USA South.  GC's Jarel Brown and Ryan Wahl each boast two interceptions this year.
