BREVARD, N.C. – Freshman outfielder Logan Clark and senior right-handed pitcher Huntley Hacker have become Brevard College Baseball's first two All-Region honorees in the school's NCAA DIII era, as Clark was named All-South Region Rookie of the Year while Hacker earned a selection on the All-South Region Third Team.

Clark, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, enjoyed a breakout freshman campaign that led to a USA South Conference Baseball Rookie of the Year selection in addition to being named Brevard College's Male Rookie of the Year in the department's yearly awards show – The BESPYs.

The outfielder maintained a team-best .360 batting average (32-for-89) with a .420 on-base percentage (second on team) and a team-high .506 slugging percentage. Clark scored 16 runs and racked up 15 RBI in addition to a team-leading eight extra-base hits that included three doubles and five triples, which finished the regular season top-20 nationally and are the most single-season triples in BC's NCAA-era. Through just 25 career collegiate games, Clark already ranks top-three in Brevard's NCAA-era history for career triples, trailing John Slade (seven; 2012-15) and Eric Renegar (six; 2010, 2012-14).

Hacker, a senior right-handed pitcher from Lexington, Kentucky, finished his Tornado career in stellar fashion, maintaining a 0.51 ERA through 17.2 innings pitched with 12 strikeouts and three saves. Hacker's 0.51 ERA was a career-low, while he impressed allowing just one earned run in 12 appearances. The senior became Brevard's first national-level weekly honoree when he secured a selection onto the D3baseball.com Team of the Week following a weekend where he earned a win and a save in a conference series victory over Maryville. Hacker is competing for the Coastal Plains League this summer after signing with the Tri-City Chili Peppers, located in Colonial Heights, Virginia.

Brevard concluded its 2021 campaign with a 13-14 record that included a 7-6 record in USA South Conference play. BC's 7-6 mark in USA South matchups gave the Tornados the program's first winning season in conference action since the 2012 season. BC ended the regular season on a tear, winning four of its last five contests to play themselves into postseason contention. Brevard's 13 victories are its most since 2016.
