Win and In: Tornados and Lions Meet Wednesday for Spot in USA South Postseason

BREVARD, N.C. – Brevard College, Piedmont College, and the USA South Conference have announced the rescheduling of a previously postponed contest. The Tornados and Lions will conclude their three-game season series on Wednesday, May 5 at 3 p.m. at Gil Coan Field in a contest that will determine the USA South West Division two-seed in the upcoming USA South Conference Baseball Tournament.

Currently, the Tornados sit in second position in the West Division with a 7-5 conference record, while Piedmont sits half a game behind with a 7-6 mark in conference. Both teams split head-to-head in a conference doubleheader on Monday, April 19.

The Tornados come into Wednesday's contest red hot, putting themselves in postseason position with a four-game conference win streak that included a three-game sweep over Huntingdon College. Brevard is seeking its first conference-level postseason appearance since the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Tournament.
