BREVARD, N.C. - Brevard College baseball outfielder Zach Allison was selected as the USA South Baseball Player of the Week after his impressive offensive performance in an undefeated 3-0 week for the Tornados.
Allison becomes the first weekly honoree for the Tornados in the 2021 season and secures BC's first "Player of the Week" award for Baseball since becoming members of the USA South.
Allison, a local product from Hendersonville, N.C., tallied a .500 batting average and a .615 on-base percentage with five runs scored, five RBI's, and a pair of stolen bases. The sophomore tallied three RBI's at Pfeiffer ahead of the doubleheader sweep vs. William Peace, where Allison went 3-for-6 with four runs, two RBI's, and a pair of walks, and stolen bases.
The sophomore currently leads the Tornados with 11 hits and a .393 batting average and is tied for the team lead with six RBI's, seven runs scored, and three stolen bases in 2021.

Brevard is scheduled to return to action this coming weekend when the Tornados travel to Staunton, Virginia for a three-game series against Mary Baldwin University on Saturday and Sunday, March 20-21.
