Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting April 1 throughout the Spring of 2020, bctornados.com will be featuring senior student-athletes from Spring sports to honor their dedication and commitment to Brevard College Athletics through their Tornado careers.

BREVARD, N.C. – Senior outfielder Donny Carsillo, a four-year member of the Brevard College Baseball team, is the next honoree in BC Athletics' Spring Senior Profile series, highlighting and honoring 2020 seniors in Spring sports who had their respective seasons cut short due to the impact of COVID-19.

Carsillo, a native of Waxhaw, N.C. graduated from Brevard with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration. Academically, Carsillo was selected to the Honor Roll three times and the Dean's List once.

Carsillo had an effective impact throughout his career with the Tornados, holding a career .251 batting average with 90 career hits in 358 at-bats. Over his four seasons with Brevard, Carsillo played in 117 games, scored 53 runs, hit 10 doubles, two triples, tallied 39 RBI's, drew 62 walks, and stole 12 bases. The senior maintained a .361 career on-base percentage and posted a .291 slugging percentage.

In his junior season, Carsillo logged career-highs with 27 hits and 17 runs, while his sophomore campaign saw the left-handed batter total career bests in doubles (four), batting average (.271), walks (12), and stolen bases (six).

"My favorite memory at Brevard College was my first game and the first at-bat of my career," said Carsillo. "I hit an RBI double against King University."
