BREVARD, N.C. – Senior right-handed pitcher Bryce Foster, a four-year member of the baseball team at Brevard College is the first honoree in BC Athletics' Spring Senior Profile series, highlighting and honoring 2020 seniors in Spring sports who had their respective seasons cut short due to the impact of COVID-19.

Foster, a hometown product of Brevard, North Carolina and graduate of Brevard High School, will graduate this year with a degree of Criminal Justice. Following graduation, Foster plans to put his degree to use and work at the Federal level.

On the field, Foster was a mainstay in the Tornado bullpen and rotation making 34 career appearances for the Tornados. The Brevard native earned his first collegiate victory in the 2019 season-opener at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina on February 8, 2019, against William Peace University. There, Foster hurled five innings of four-hit ball and one earned run in Brevard's 12-5 victory over the Pacers. Foster tallied a career-best 26 strikeouts in his career-high 30 innings pitched during the 2019 campaign.

In his senior season, the right-hander made five appearances, including three starts, and helped BC earn a victory over NC Wesleyan on February 29 where he opened the contest with three scoreless innings. The senior also appeared in a narrow defeat at Guilford on February 16, tossing two scoreless frames in relief.

Off the field, Foster has qualified for the Dean's list multiple times over the course of his academic tenure at Brevard.

"My favorite memory at Brevard College would be the group trips that we took to swim in Pisgah National Forest at the rope swing," commented Foster. "Going out to eat all with the team all the time is also a memory that stands out, however, when we are this close it's more of a family than a team."
