“A communications team is the heartbeat of an athletics department’” said Nash.  “Phil and Joseph have been invaluable members of our team over the past three years. I cannot express enough appreciation for the level of professionalism, diligence and care they provide to impact our student athletes in such a positive way. Under Phil’s leadership and Joseph’s guidance, the opportunities at BC Athletics are endless for further growth.”

De Montmollin’s role in college athletics extends back to 1996, where his career began as the Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of Miami, overseeing communications for NCAA Division I baseball, women's soccer, and women's golf. His position was elevated in 1999, as he transitioned to Football Sports Information Director overseeing the nationally recognized Miami Hurricanes football team.

Outside of college athletics, de Montmollin's experience in the sports industry branches out even further. De Montmollin was awarded The Sun Conference Sports Information Director of the Year during his time with St. Thomas and his 1999 baseball media guide at University of Miami was named the Best in the Nation by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In addition to his experience within college athletics, de Montmollin served as a TV/Radio Statistician for the NBA’s Miami Heat for over a decade, a Stats Stringer for Major League Baseball Advanced Media for five years, and continues to work as a Talent Statistician for ESPN, FOX Sports and Westwood One.
