NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Brevard College men's and women's cross country teams concluded the 2022 season at the NCAA DIII South Regional Championships on Saturday in Newport News, Virginia, hosted by Christopher Newport University.

The Tornados men's side finished 15th with 392 points, while the women's squad finished 20th. 

Zoe Capps finished in the top 50 to pace the women's side, running a time of 25:51.6 for 49th place. Sandra Diaz-Martinez also finished inside the top 100 finishers with a 71st-place result (26:43.9). 

On the men's side, Devon Brodmyer was the highest Tornado finisher, placing 48th with a time of 27:54.3. Garrett Spangler placed 60th with a time of 28:29.1, while Dalton Hawley finished 66th at 28:49.1.
