ROCK HILL, S.C. - Junior Nina Siu (Greensboro, N.C.) was named to the South Atlantic Conference Team after an impressive junior season. League officials announced the 2017 honorees on Monday afternoon.

"I am proud of Nina," said head women's lacrosse coach Kristin Rosato. "She had a breakout season, and deserves this honor."

Siu finished in the top five of multiple categories in the conference standings this season. The attacker finished second in total points with 78 and third in the league in assists with 41. The Greensboro, N.C. native also finished first for the Tornados in goals with 37.

Siu led Brevard in scoring in ten games this season, including two games scoring four goals. She also became the second Tornado in program history to pass 100 total career points. To wrap up her junior year, Siu stands at 115 career points.

Coker attacker, Faith Kent was voted the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Player of the year. Gianna Pezzulo of Catawba was voted the Leauge's Freshman of the Year. Coker head coach, Kate Keagins earned the Conference Coach of the Year.
