MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Brevard College women's basketball team (3-7, 1-3 USAS) will return to regular season and USA South Conference play after competing in two-consecutive exhibition matches, as the Tornados travel to Montgomery, Alabama to take on conference foe Huntingdon College (4-8, 4-0 USAS) on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT

Brevard is returning to countable action following exhibition tune-ups against NCAA DI institutions Presbyterian College and Wofford College.

The Tornados are off to a 1-3 start in conference play, while Huntingdon has begun the conference portion of its schedule with an unblemished 4-0 record. 

Brevard claimed a 78-58 victory over Wesleyan College on December 7, 2019, as the Tornados earned their first conference win of 2019-20. BC was led by junior forward Deja Riddick, who scored 14 points and dished out a team-high five assists. The Norfolk, Virginia native also pulled down six rebounds, blocked a shot and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Junior forward Destiny Williams and senior center Krysta Davis also scored in double figures with each player registering 11 points. 

Huntingdon has been led thus far in the season by Shaonica Thomas, who has averaged 14.5 ppg on an efficient 54.2% shooting from the field. Thomas has also led the Hawks with 8.1 rebounds-per-game. 

Following the road trip for Head Coach Donald Hudson's squad, Brevard will return to The Bosh for a Wednesday, January 8 home matchup against Agnes Scott College that will begin at 7:30 p.m.
