ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Brevard College Track and Field team traveled to Winthrop University on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Winthrop ADIDAS Invitational.

Senior Marlowe Macklin (Brown Summit, N.C.) turned in an 11th place performance in the Men's 100m. Macklin ran an 11.15 time placing second in his heat and 11th out of 43 competitors.

In the Men's distance junior Hassan Kiprono (Iten, Kenya) finished in 21st place in the men's 5000m with a time of 16:12.02. Micah Voelzow also competed in the men's 5000m with a time of 18:08.82.

Senior Madison Smith (Duvall, Wash.) ran the women's 400m with a time of 1:14.68. Fellow senior Elena Raygoza (Palmdale, Calif.) ran a 21:50.92 in the women's 5000 meters, finishing in 24th place.

Brevard will return to action next week as they compete in the Terrier Relays in Spartanburg, S.C. on March 31 and April 1.
