Big Showing for Tornados at BigFoot Climbing

MORGANTON, N.C. – The Brevard College climbing team earned a 1-2-3 sweep in men's competition and took 2nd and 3rd place in the women's results at the BigFoot Climbing comp, a USA Climbing Southeast Qualifying event in the discipline of bouldering held Saturday at the BigFoot Climbing Gym in Morganton, North Carolina.

Brevard College junior Kendrick Austin won the competition to lead the 1-2-3 sweep for the Tornados in the men's competition.  BC junior Chris Board placed second, while junior Caleb Trent took third place.  Eleven total climbers competed in the event.

BC senior Madison Altman finished second in the women's competition with her teammate Shyvonne Potter placing third.  The women's comp featured a total of nine climbers.

The USA Climbing Collegiate Divisional Championships is scheduled for March 26-27 with the Collegiate National Championships set for April 22-24.  For more information, go to usaclimbing.org
