Brevard College placed a school-record 167 student-athletes on the USA South Academic All-Conference Team for the 2021-22 academic year.
BC’s 167 academic all-conference selections shatters the previous record of 129 set in 2020-21. Brevard is among the top-five schools in the USA South in total number of honorees, joining Piedmont University (215 honorees), Huntingdon College (199 honorees), Southern Virginia University (197 honorees), and Methodist University (158 honorees) in the top-five of USA South Conference institutions.
Junior Brevard College men’s tennis student-athlete Ethan McGee was selected to the USA South Conference Men’s Tennis West Division First Team as two BC men’s tennis student-athletes earned USA South postseason awards following the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign.
McGee, a junior from Salisbury, North Carolina, was selected to the West Division First Team after a successful individual campaign that also included a USA South Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor. McGee racked up five singles victories – all coming at the number-one spot – in 12 matches played while maintaining a 4-2 number-one singles mark in USA South matches. McGee earned three doubles wins this season, with two coming at the top-flight position.
