BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (1-4, 1-2 USAS) is set for a home USA South conference matchup against Covenant College (7-4) this Friday at the McCoy Tennis Complex. The Tornados are scheduled for a conference dual match beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The Presidents of the USA South Athletic Conference have agreed to adjust the Conference's policy on spectators attending any outdoor sporting event hosted by a USA South institution regardless of opponent.

The amended policy limits spectators to two per participating student-athlete, plus students, faculty and staff of the host institution while abiding with all local and state social distancing and capacity directives. No spectators of visiting teams will be permitted to attend. This adjusted policy went into effect for all events beginning on Friday, February 26th.

The Tornados most recently are coming off a USA South conference loss against Piedmont College on March 20 at home.

Ethan McGee paired up with Devin Horton in number-one doubles, taking Piedmont's pairing of Jackson Traylor and Connor Bowles down to the wire in the first doubles match of the morning. McGee and Horton forced a tiebreaker, falling 14-12 in the deciding tiebreaker. Andrew Ingram and JaMarcus Walker started in the number-two doubles position, falling by a final of 8-4 as the Lions jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after doubles action.

The Scots come into Friday's matchup after a 9-0 loss to Sewanee College last Wednesday.
