Piedmont Sweeps Brevard in Non-Conference Play
BREVARD, N.C. - The Brevard College men's tennis team (1-4) fell in straight-match fashion to Piedmont College (3-8) on Saturday morning at the McCoy Tennis Complex.

Ethan McGee paired up with Devin Horton in number-one doubles, taking Piedmont's pairing of Jackson Traylor and Connor Bowles down to the wire in the first doubles match of the morning. McGee and Horton forced a tiebreaker, falling 14-12 in the deciding tiebreaker. Andrew Ingram and JaMarcus Walker started in the number-two doubles position, falling by a final of 8-4 as the Lions jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after doubles action.

McGee and Traylor met once again in singles play, battling in a back-and-forth first set that Traylor claimed, 7-5, before a 6-2 second set. The Lions went on to sweep the remaining singles matches to wrap up the weekend sweep.

Brevard is scheduled to return to action next weekend when the Tornados travel to LaGrange, Georgia to face LaGrange College on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, March 28 at 11 a.m.
